Range Resources is a petroleum and natural gas exploration company with five divisions and 1,200 employees generating $12B in revenues at its peak. Promoted to this position in recognition of outstanding performance as the company’s Corporate Information Technology Manager for a period of six years.
Led a broad range of diverse technology teams in functions including Server and Network Administration, Financial Systems Administration and Business Operations Administration, End User Support, Data Base Administration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Application Development, Cybersecurity and Project Management. Responsibly managed a $10M capital budget and serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior management.
Effectively supported the company’s rapid growth by growing a small IT team from 4 to 51 with six direct reports to create a highly collaborative technology powerhouse that supported the entire scope of the business, excluding GIS and SCADA.

Retained by Range Resources to continue leading the IT function of Stroud Energy following its acquisition by Range Resources. Quickly expanded scope of command to include all of Range Resource’s Corporate IT Infrastructure, End User and Operations Application. Planned and directed the work of four Division IT managers.
Markedly improved operational reporting, expense management, system availability and security, communications and the Customer Experience. Automated operational reporting and expense management including authorization. Implemented an incident tracking system. Upgraded firewall and email spam filter capabilities and web content filtering. Implemented communication systems including VoIP and video conferencing.
Proposed and implemented many applications to improve the capabilities and efficiencies of the Operations groups, primarily in regards to AFE tracking and approval, as well as daily drilling and completions reporting.

Stroud Energy Ltd, was an exploration and production company, acquired by Range Resources in 2006. Brought on as a Consultant and quickly transitioned to an internal leadership role and charged with building the organization’s IT function from the ground up. Later ran the HR functions including benefits administration and reporting, payroll, insurance and the 401K program on an interim basis for nearly a year.
Planned, directed and developed IT functions, including Server Administration, Desktop, Application and Field Operations support, budgeting, and vendor and contractor management. Created Stroud’s IT infrastructure from the ground up. Later directed an upgrade from Production Access (drilling and production daily reporting) to PERC and Merrick ProCount to improve performance and reporting.
